After the success of the inaugural event last January, The Red Lion is holding a second Great British Sausage Roll Off on January 28. The contest is a simple one, an invitation to chefs from London and beyond to create the ultimate sausage roll.

Angus at the Red Lion describes the event: "In a nutshell (or even a pastry case!) it is our annual quest, with live cooking, & real chefs, to find Great Britain's best sausage roll, and it's not going to be any old sausage roll. We are looking for a sausage roll that has been taken to new heights. We aim only to allow the best calibre entrants with the best ideas and, although it'll be a tongue in cheek evening with banter humour & fun, ultimately we are looking to get the cream of chefs & bakers to create a sausage roll like never before - Sausage Rollery does not get tougher than this ! So make a note of this date in your diary & come along on the night to witness a great event - we need full support from all of you!"
